Falves Silva
Inter Signos, undated (c1975)
Edicoes Suspensa, Natal, Brasil, 216 x 156 mm.
Dedicated to the avant-garde poets of North-East Brazil Anchieta Fernandes, Wlademir Dias-Pino, Moacy Cirne, Alvaro de Sa and Neide de Sa. Falves Silva urges the reader to organise the pages into a sequence 'according to their own logic', taking 'Inter-Sign of the Brazilian Flag' as a starting point. In it the ‘Z of the Zuastika’ (Swastika) overlaps the Brazilian flag, likely commenting on the authoritarian military dictatorship that ruled Brazil between 1964 and 1985.
(Des) Construcao Verbal - 1967-1997 Poema Processo Hoje, published by the artist 1997. Printed folder containing loose leaf sheets, printed black on white paper.
