Yves De Smet

Yves de Smet won the grand prize of the Association Belge des Critiques d'Art in 1977. He was one of Belgium’s leading conceptual artists in the 1970s. However there are very few remaining conceptual works by De Smet from the period, according to curators in Belgium, when the artist died in 2004 his studio which should have housed his works, was found to be completely empty following his death.
